Why affirmations do not always work?
It’s not news anymore that affirmations are not that effective as they were thought to be. They definitely help to build a positive mindset but they only work when you believe in what you say, I mean truly believe. They work only when your thoughts, daily actions and your whole being is aligned with what you are saying. For example, if you say I am so beautiful, but deep down you think you are not good enough for X, Y Z and you wear clothes to hide yourself, it simply won’t work.
Affirmations are for manifestation, you manifest all the time. When your thoughts and actions are aligned with who you are and what you say, then the manifestation happens so quickly and so easily. But when your words say one thing but you think the other thing, and act third way, you are sending way too many mixed messages into the Universe. You cannot lie to your brain, simple as that. But you can trick your brain.First, you have to look deeper into your subconscious. Why?Subconscious is where your programming lies, where your deep rooted beliefs are. This is the voice that tells you that you are not good enough when you say an affirmation. This is the belief that was formed in the past but is not serving you. That’s why when you say to yourself an affirmation that you actually don’t believe in, your subscious will let you know that there is a mismatch. You might hear your thoughts like : “I don’t deserve it….Yes, but remember when you did it and you failed? Nope, don’t do it again….yadadada…”
SO….in order to change your mindset, you have to always go deep, to the root of the issue where there is a belief, an old programming, a stuck story, a trauma, the root cause of the surface you are reliving now.

But today I want you to give a tip on what type of affirmation works. I heard it from Vishen Lakhiani in one of his speeches. He said that there is a difference to the brain when you simply say: ” I am beautiful. I have a sporty body.” to “Why do I have a body of an athlete? I wonder why I am so beautiful? That way you trick your brain to find solutions to match that phrase.Try it out and let me know how it works for you!
